Interlocutor (music), the master of ceremonies of a minstrel show
Interlocutor (politics), someone who informally explains the views of a government and also can relay messages back to a government.

Only people with 3 or more daughters or daughters in law have a reasonable chance of not finishing their lives in a nursing home.
-from Frontline, PBS "Living Old"

By the way it was a really beautiful program.

"Oh, wow, look at you now
flowers in the window
it's such a lovely day...

Out in the crowd
you are one in a million
and i love you so
let's watch the flowers grow
there is no reason to feel bad
but there are many seasons
to feel sad, glad, mad..."

My opa (grandfather) passed away a week ago today at the age of 96. I just returned to New York from burying him with the help of many aunts, uncles, cousins and whatever you call your cousin's children. The gravedigger brought us many shovels. It was a surreal experience in an urban Toronto cemetary. He was the last of my grandparents... all of them lived into their nineties. And from them came many... many.... Such is life. Look at us now...

...beyond this point...
There is temporarily no public
or friends access to this journal
When back online it will likely
require that you be logged in to
your LiveJournal account.

If you do not have an account
you can get one here. I will be
glad to provide a referral code
if you need one. I can also give
you access to a guest account if
you do not wish to start an
account of your own. Just let
me know...

...edit...
As of the winter of 2009 I am
tentatively beginning to use this
journal again and may have
developed a more comfortable
system for handling what was
often intensely personal. You should
start to see public entries again,
as time permits...
